D.I.Y LOUBITIN INSPIRED STUDDED FLATS

Its been awhile since I've blogged however I finally have something exciting to share with everyone. As I've shared before I am an eBay addict and on one of my shopping spree on eBay I came accross these funky srew in spikes. All that can be said is thank god for eBay.
Who doesnt love studs and spikes? its almost like saying you hate glitter!
Ok, enough of my gibber jabber and more on my new D.I.Y Loubitin inspired studded flats.
These are some serious attention grabbing flats right here people! you could make them in under 10 Minutes with no experience needed.

Needs:
Flats or Heels (You dont need to buy a pair if you already have ones that you would like to redecorate. I bought an inexpensive pair from Kmart for $15)
Screw in spikes or studs
Screw driver
and something sharp to make the holes.

Something sharp (I bought this awhile back from an art shop) and a screw driver.

Screw in spikes or studs.

1. At the back of the heel of your flats line up some holes by poking through your sharp object and remembering to space the holes apart.  ( Yes I know what your thinking! She has some serious small feet! How does she balance?)

You can use as many spikes/studs as you like however I only used 20 spikes/studs all up. 10 on each shoes and 5 on each side of the heel. Feel free to stud the whole shoe if that is your hearts desire however sometimes less is more.

2. When you have finally finished making all the holes you can begin to push the back of the spikes/studs through. If you find it difficult to poke them through use your sharp object and slightly make the hole bigger by moving the sharp object in a circular motion. remember not to over stretch the hole, otherwise the spikes/studs will not stay in place even ones they have been screwed in together.

Guys please do not place the studs too close to the stitching of the shoe because you could unravel and unstitch the back of the heel. leave some space between the stitching of the heel and the spikes/studs.

3. Ones the back of the spikes/studs are done you can begin to screwing in the spikes/studs.
With one had hold the already placed spikes/studs into place by holding them down with the screw driver and use the other hand by tightening and screwing in the spikes/studs. Make sure they are screwed in tightly so you dont worry about them falling off.

And finally this is how it should slightly look like after if you followed my version. There is no right or wrong way of doing this D.I.Y project so yours can look different to my Loubitin inspired studded flats.
